Anti Piracy Patrol

Round the clock anti piracy patrol has been carried out from Coast Guard Outpost Patenga. Coast Guard Ship Shetgang and Porte Grande were deployed at outer anchorage to combat piracy.

   Round the clock anti piracy patrol has been carried out from Coast Guard Outpost Patenga. Coast Guard Ship Shetgang and Porte Grande were deployed at outer anchorage to combat piracy.
2. Anti Piracy Actions on Report
   1. M V AMY: On 09 Jan 2008 at 1025 hrs M V AMY at RM-3 reported that a suspected boat came alongside and stole few Zinc Slabs from the ships hull. Upon investigation it was found that the vessel had no watchman
3. Anti Piracy Raid and Achievement
   Following raids were carried out during the period under review (01 Jan - 15 Jan 2008) and the achievements are as follows:
   1. 03 Jan 2008. On intelligence report raid carried out near SHAHAMIRPUR under Karnaphuli Thana and 220 Meter Rope were seized, which were obtained illegally from ships at outer anchorage. Seized items were handed over to customs for legal action.
   2. 12 Jan 2008. On intelligence report raid carried out near Parki Beach under Anwara Thana and 400 Meter Rope were seized, which were obtained illegally from ships at outer anchorage. Seized items were handed over to customs for legal action.

16 Dec 07 to 31 Dec 07

   Round the clock anti piracy patrol has been carried out from Coast Guard Outpost Patenga. Coast Guard Ship Shetgang and Porte Grande were deployed at outer anchorage to combat piracy.
2. Anti Piracy Actions on Report
   1. M V MEHEDI HASAN-2. On 23 Dec 2007 at 1125 hrs M V MEHEDI HASAN-2 at CUFL Jetty reported that a suspected boat came alongside and one pirate was caught from alongside. Upon investigation it was found that the vessel had no watchman. Pirates handed over the Patenga Thana.
3. Anti Piracy Raid and Achievement
   Following raids were carried out during the period under review (01 Dec - 15 Dec 2007) and the achievements are as follows:
   1. 23 Dec 2007. On intelligence report raid carried out near 'CUFL Jetty' and 350 Feet stolen Rope from M V MEHEDI-2 were seized, which was reported earlier from the ship. Seized item handed over to owner of the ship.

   1. M V SEAWAY PRESTICE: On 02 Dec 2007 at 2050 hrs M V SEAWAY PRESTICE at anchorage B reported that a suspected boat came alongside and stole few Rope and lifebuoy from the ship. Upon investigation it was found that the vessel-had no watchman. Rope could not be recovered.
   2. M V LIBAN CAR: On 04 Dec 2007 at 2145 hrs M V LIBAN CAR at anchorage B reported that a suspected boat came alongside and stole few Rope from the ship. Upon investigation it was found that the vessel had no watchman. Rope could not be recovered.
3. Anti Piracy Raid and Achievement
   Following raids were carried out during the period under review (01 Dec - 15 Dec 2007) and the achievements are as follows:
   1. 01 Dec 2007: On intelligence report raid carried out at 'Akmol Ali Road Beach Area' and some Wear Rope were seized, which were reportedly obtained illegally from ships at outer anchorage. Seized items were handed over to customs for legal action.
   2. 09 Dec 2007: On intelligence report raid carried out at 'Jelepara Beach Area' and some Wear Rope were seized, which were reportedly obtained illegally from ships at outer anchorage. Seized items were handed over to customs for legal action.

16 Nov 07 to 30 Nov 07

1. Anti Piracy Patrol. Round the clock anti piracy patrol has been carried out from Coast Guard Outpost Patenga. Coast Guard Ship Shetgang and Porte Grande were deployed at outer anchorage to combat piracy.
2. Anti Piracy Actions on Report. No piracy report has been received during the period under review.
3. Anti Piracy Raid and Achievement. Following raids were carried out during the period under review (16 Nov - 30 Nov 2007) and the achievements are as follows:
   1. 18 Nov 2007. On intelligence report raid carried out at 'Normans Point Beach Area' and some Chain Cables and Shackles were seized, which were reportedly obtained illegally from ships at outer anchorage. Seized items were handed over to customs for legal action.
