Fundation Course for Assistant Sub-Inspector
 
Course: Fundation Course for Assistant Sub-Inspector
Objectives:

The participants will be able to improve interpersonal relationship with other employees and port users, take appropriate measures to prevent theft and pilferage, maintain law & order, ensure proper receiving and disposal of cargo, prevent fraudulent/improper delivery of cargo, take appropriate measures in case of any irregularity/mishap, deal with important documents and follow the rules and regulations.

For whom: Assistant Sub-Inspector/Security department.
Course contents:
  • Duties and responsibilities of Asstt. Sub-Inspector.
  • Interpersonal working relationship within the department
  • Relationship with other CPA departments as well as other outside agencies
  • Conduct and discipline rules
  • Measures to be taken for prevention of theft and pilferage
  • Maintaining law and order inside the port protected area and action to be taken for violation of the rules
  • Action to be taken in case of any accident or in any other emergency
  • Issuance of licenses, gate passes etc
  • Ensuring proper receiving of cargo
  • Dispatch/delivery of cargo
  • Measures to be taken in case of fraudulent/improper delivery of cargo
  • Importance and proper maintenance of diary, registers and all other documents.
Duration: 28 (Twenty eight) working days
Date: Starting from 07-08-2004 for 28 working days.
Starting from 27-02-2005 for 28 working days.
Number of course: 2 (Two)
Number of participants: 10 (Ten)

  • Class Lecture and Discussion.

Evaluation:
(a) Exam : 80
(b) Class Attendance and Overall Performance : 20

Facilities: Multimedia & OHP presentation system.
Course Fee: TK 2000/- (Two Thousand) per participant.
