- Mooring
alongside a berth.
- Different types of Buoy & their functions.
- Mooring to a buoy.
- Types of cordage.
- Knot tying.
- Splicing of cordage and wire.
- Proper use of heave line.
- Line handling.
- Proper stowage of lines.
- Different types of anchor and chains and their functions.
- Use of shackles, clips, cleats, bollards , sinkers etc.
- Proper Safety practices.
- Personal Protective Equipment and their uses.
- Storm Warning signals and Cyclone Disaster Preparedness.
