Course: Safer Tug Assistance
Objectives: To provide participants with an overview of Tug operations. Emphasis will be placed on safety and vessel control.
For whom: Tug Master Class I, II & III E:D class I & II
Course contents:
  • Control and prevention of marine accidents.
  • Marine Traffic Control
  • Tug deployment and services.
  • Marine Environmental Projection.
  • Various types of tugs & propulsion gear.
  • Local tides & currents.
  • Tug boat fire fighting capabilities.
  • Safe line handling.
  • Communications.
Duration: 7 (Seven) working days.
Date: Starting from 15.06.2005 for 7 working days.
